Mock Draft Picks
Scored under the published methodology, which sets out what counts as right, what a naive guess would have said, and why an earlier call is worth more than a late one.

Why so many dead-wrong answers?
Mock drafts are the single biggest source of zero scores on this site — and it is not because analysts are bad at them. It is because a mock draft asks the same person to do two very different jobs, and only one of them is possible.
Accuracy collapses after round one
- Round 1 · picks 1–321676 picks · off by 10 on average76.3 avg
- Round 2 · 33–64112 picks · off by 25 on average49.5 avg
- Round 3 · 65–10094 picks · off by 33 on average38.7 avg
- Day 3 · 101–175158 picks · off by 41 on average32.7 avg
- Late Day 3 · 176+93 picks · off by 50 on average26.9 avg
A first-round mock is a genuinely good prediction. Across 1676 first-round picks the average score is 76.3, missing by about 10 places. By late day 3 that has fallen to 26.9, missing by 50.
The order of the late rounds is close to unknowable. Thirty-two teams making a hundred and fifty picks are working from private boards, trades nobody has made yet, and medical information that never becomes public. 38% of every zero-scored pick we hold was mocked after round two.
Which is a hard thing to score fairly, and looking at this chart is what made us change how we do it. Until 2 August 2026 credit ran out at one full round, so a pick 32 places out and one 128 places out both scored zero — and 29% of every pick we held sat on that floor. Credit now halves every sixteen picks instead: the standard for a good pick is untouched, and being wrong by a round is no longer the same answer as being wrong by four. The methodology records the change and the numbers behind it.
An analyst who mocks all seven rounds is still attempting the hardest version of the exercise, and the back half will always score lower than the front. That is why the leaderboard ranks on MissedTakes Score, which comes from how well a mock ordered the draft rather than from its individual picks — a seven-round mock is judged on the shape it got right, not on the length of its tail.

These are predictions about where a team would pick, not judgements of the player. A slide says as much about thirty-two front offices as it does about anyone’s evaluation.

Every mock draft picks take
2476–2500 of 4,373
Rueben Bain to be picked “gone at, like, seven or eight”
I keep looking at Mox, and I keep seeing the guy that I wish was going to be there gone at, like, seven or eight, and that's Ruben Bane.
Akheem Mesidor to be picked “drafted before No. 40”
I doubt either of them last to 40 at this point, so 20 nine's gotta be the spot.
Makai Lemon to be picked at number 13
My dream off season, I have Mekhi Lemmon as my pick at 13
Fernando Mendoza to be picked at number 1
Except that Fernando Mendoza is going to be the number one overall pick to Las Vegas Raiders because Clint Kubiak clearly cannot stand Geno Smith
Jadarian Price to be picked “day two”
Jadarian, Price out of Notre Dame. Jeremiah Love's, back backfield mate, a guy that's expected to go in day two, could be a really good pick.
Mike Washington to be picked “day two pick”
Mike Washington out of Arkansas, expected to be a day two pick.
Fernando Mendoza to be picked at number 1
The only guy I felt like I could put above him was Fernando Mendoza, who's gonna be the number one pick to the Raiders.
Caleb Tiernan to be picked “second round” (picks 33–64)
This guy, Caleb Tiernan from Northwestern. These are two second round tackles with short arms who are gonna move down inside the guard.
Kade Casey to be picked “second round” (picks 33–64)
Guard cage, Casey from Boise State. This guy, Caleb Tiernan from Northwestern. These are two second round tackles with short arms
Spencer Fano to be picked “not inside the top 10 picks” (picks 1–10)
Like, you can't draft him as a tackle. Not 32 and an eights armed, not inside the top 10 picks. So if he were available at 28, I would a 100% take him... I don't think he'll be there.
Monroe Freeling to be picked “way overdrafted”
Monroe Freeling from, Georgia away overdrafted.
Caleb Lomu to be picked “drafted before pick 28”
I still think Caleb loan you, for example, I think he'll get drafted by then.
Caleb Lomu to be picked at number 28
I gave them in my last mock draft. I gave the Texans Caleb Lomew at tackle.
Zachariah Branch to be picked at number 73
there's a perfect opportunity for me to do so in round three, pick 73 with Georgia wide receiver, Zachariah Branch
Caleb Downs to be picked at number 8
Caleb Downs makes perfect sense for this team at eight, assuming that those medicals do check out.
Emmett Johnson to be picked at number 132
with the first selection of round four, pick one thirty two, I went with Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson
Treydan Stukes to be picked “probably second, third round players” (picks 33–100)
trading stoops as well out of Arizona ... Those guys could be had a little bit later in the draft, probably second, third round players.
Keionte Scott to be picked “probably second, third round players” (picks 33–100)
Keontay Scott out of Miami. ... Those guys could be had a little bit later in the draft, probably second, third round players.
Zion Young to be picked at number 42
Alright. Let's move on now to round two, pick 42. ... I went with Missouri edge rusher Zion Young.
Malachi Lawrence to be picked “top 100” (picks 1–100)
And I think Malachi Lawrence now is going, like, top 100.
Tim Keenan to be picked at number 137
Going back to defense here as well, with Alabama defensive tackle Tim Keenan the third. This is at round four, pick one thirty seven.
Bud Clark to be picked “probably second, third round players” (picks 33–100)
And then I'd highlight, of course, TCU safety, Bud Clark. Those guys could be had a little bit later in the draft, probably second, third round players.
Beau Stephens to be picked at number 148
round four pick one forty eight, I'm gonna go with Iowa guard Beau Stevens
Trey Moore to be picked at number 170
And then round five pick one seventy, I'm gonna go with, Texas linebacker Trey Moore.
Tanner Koziol to be picked at number 189
jumping ahead now to round six, our final selection pick one eighty nine. Houston tight end Tanner Cazio.
