Mock Draft Picks
Scored under the published methodology, which sets out what counts as right, what a naive guess would have said, and why an earlier call is worth more than a late one.

Why so many dead-wrong answers?
Mock drafts are the single biggest source of zero scores on this site — and it is not because analysts are bad at them. It is because a mock draft asks the same person to do two very different jobs, and only one of them is possible.
Accuracy collapses after round one
- Round 1 · picks 1–321676 picks · off by 10 on average76.3 avg
- Round 2 · 33–64112 picks · off by 25 on average49.5 avg
- Round 3 · 65–10094 picks · off by 33 on average38.7 avg
- Day 3 · 101–175158 picks · off by 41 on average32.7 avg
- Late Day 3 · 176+93 picks · off by 50 on average26.9 avg
A first-round mock is a genuinely good prediction. Across 1676 first-round picks the average score is 76.3, missing by about 10 places. By late day 3 that has fallen to 26.9, missing by 50.
The order of the late rounds is close to unknowable. Thirty-two teams making a hundred and fifty picks are working from private boards, trades nobody has made yet, and medical information that never becomes public. 38% of every zero-scored pick we hold was mocked after round two.
Which is a hard thing to score fairly, and looking at this chart is what made us change how we do it. Until 2 August 2026 credit ran out at one full round, so a pick 32 places out and one 128 places out both scored zero — and 29% of every pick we held sat on that floor. Credit now halves every sixteen picks instead: the standard for a good pick is untouched, and being wrong by a round is no longer the same answer as being wrong by four. The methodology records the change and the numbers behind it.
An analyst who mocks all seven rounds is still attempting the hardest version of the exercise, and the back half will always score lower than the front. That is why the leaderboard ranks on MissedTakes Score, which comes from how well a mock ordered the draft rather than from its individual picks — a seven-round mock is judged on the shape it got right, not on the length of its tail.

These are predictions about where a team would pick, not judgements of the player. A slide says as much about thirty-two front offices as it does about anyone’s evaluation.

Every mock draft picks take
1851–1875 of 4,355
Rueben Bain to be picked at number 9
I believe the Chiefs would run to the podium to draft Reuben Bain
A.J. Terrell to be picked “Bills' first-round pick” (picks 1–32)
They take another shot at it with Terrell out of Clemson.
Sonny Styles to be picked “top 10 pick to the Cardinals” (picks 1–10)
Now the Cardinals, once upon a time, picked a linebacker in the top 10... I think Sonny Styles potentially goes there.
Denzel Boston to be picked “Patriots' first-round pick” (picks 1–32)
they take Denzel Boston out of Washington
Mansoor Delane to be picked at number 12
The top corner... Delaney out of, LSU, everyone's top corner in this draft. Cowboys ... so they take him.
C.J. Allen to be picked “second Cowboys pick in the top 20” (picks 1–20)
They take not a pass rushing linebacker, more of a traditional linebacker, and CJ Allen out of Georgia
Monroe Freeling to be picked “first-round pick” (picks 1–32)
Get the get Wilds guy, Bryce Young, some offensive line help with Monroe Freeland ... Out of Georgia.
Ty Simpson to be picked “a round two guy”
But, nevertheless, he's he's a round two guy to me.
Fernando Mendoza to be picked at number 1
The number one pick, shocker. Fernando Mendoza.
Francis Mauigoa to be picked at number 6
Number six to the Browns... Maunoga, I apologize if I mispronounced your last name, young man, out of Miami, the star right tackle
Blake Miller to be picked “49ers' first-round pick” (picks 1–32)
They go offensive line with Blake Miller from Clemson.
Jeremiyah Love to be picked “Tennessee will take him”
I think I've been saying for a while, Tennessee will take him.
Malik Muhammad to be picked “late second round grade” (picks 33–64)
I gave him a late second round grade. Late second round, fifty two isn't super late in the second round. I I don't think it would be crazy at 52 if he's dense enough for the Packers
Jeremiyah Love to be picked at number 7
the Tennessee titans, they get Jeremiah Love, who I think they're gonna take a number four, at number seven
Davison Igbinosun to be picked at number 71
Number 71, Davison Igmanosin, cornerback out of Ohio State
Ar'maj Reed-Adams to be picked at number 187
Number one eighty seven, Armaaj Armage Reed, Adams, guard out of Texas a and m
Jager Burton to be picked at number 147
Number one forty seven, Jagger Burton, center out of Kentucky.
Victor Payne to be picked at number 209
number two zero nine, BJ Payne, safety out of Kansas State
De'Zhaun Stribling to be picked at number 101
They're number one zero one, which we also get from Tennessee. ... Dijon Stripling, wide receiver out of Ole Miss
Sonny Styles to be picked at number 4
we do get Sonny Styles at number four for the Washington commanders
Roman Hemby to be picked at number 223
the number two twenty three, Roman Hemby, running back out of Indiana
Caleb Downs to be picked at number 3
The Giants do go Caleb Downs in the mock draft that we ran here.
Fernando Mendoza to be picked at number 1
I I think it'll be Mendoza one and then none, and then love top five
Fernando Mendoza to be picked at number 1
We know Fernando Mendoza's going number one, probably not gonna start in week one.
Colonel Tate to be picked “not gonna be there at nine (i.e., picked before No. 9)”
And more and more I think about Colonel Tate, and if he drops to nine He's not he's no. He's not gonna be there. At nine? No. He's not gonna be there.
