Mock Draft Picks
Scored under the published methodology, which sets out what counts as right, what a naive guess would have said, and why an earlier call is worth more than a late one.

Why so many dead-wrong answers?
Mock drafts are the single biggest source of zero scores on this site — and it is not because analysts are bad at them. It is because a mock draft asks the same person to do two very different jobs, and only one of them is possible.
Accuracy collapses after round one

- Round 2 · 33–64112 picks · off by 25 on average49.5 avg
- Round 3 · 65–10094 picks · off by 33 on average38.7 avg

- Late Day 3 · 176+93 picks · off by 50 on average26.9 avg
A first-round mock is a genuinely good prediction. Across 1676 first-round picks the average score is 76.3, missing by about 10 places. By late day 3 that has fallen to 26.9, missing by 50.
The order of the late rounds is close to unknowable. Thirty-two teams making a hundred and fifty picks are working from private boards, trades nobody has made yet, and medical information that never becomes public. 38% of every zero-scored pick we hold was mocked after round two.
Which is a hard thing to score fairly, and looking at this chart is what made us change how we do it. Until 2 August 2026 credit ran out at one full round, so a pick 32 places out and one 128 places out both scored zero — and 29% of every pick we held sat on that floor. Credit now halves every sixteen picks instead: the standard for a good pick is untouched, and being wrong by a round is no longer the same answer as being wrong by four. The methodology records the change and the numbers behind it.
An analyst who mocks all seven rounds is still attempting the hardest version of the exercise, and the back half will always score lower than the front. That is why the leaderboard ranks on MissedTakes Score, which comes from how well a mock ordered the draft rather than from its individual picks — a seven-round mock is judged on the shape it got right, not on the length of its tail.

These are predictions about where a team would pick, not judgements of the player. A slide says as much about thirty-two front offices as it does about anyone’s evaluation.

Every mock draft picks take
2001–2025 of 4,357
Dillon Thieneman to be picked “first round” (picks 1–32)
in the mix to be the second safety Along With dylan Thieneman, from oregon and both of them are probably first, round picks
Kayden McDonald to be picked “back of the first round” (picks 1–32)
someone, like McDonald who i think will be the one who sneaks into the back of the first round
Lee Hunter to be picked “second round” (picks 33–64)
I Think lee hunt is more of the room plugging guys who would go into go in the. SECOND round
Jeremiah Wright to be picked “Day 3 pick” (picks 101–257)
And then we wrap it up with another, Senior Bowl standout for me, offensive lineman out of ... Auburn, excuse me. Jeremiah Wright... So that's our entire day three there
Bryce Boettcher to be picked at number 150
And so to the fifth round here, two picks in the fifth round, going back to the defense, Bryce Bossier, the Oregon linebacker... Maybe the Bryce Boacher pick might be something I would maybe substitute out... 50? Yeah. One fifty.
Anthony Lucas to be picked at number 172
as well as, Anthony Lucas, the USC pass rusher. Probably in reality, these two are flipped. I have a hard time seeing Anthony Lucas getting too far past one hundred and fifty, let alone one hundred and seventy two.
Rueben Bain to be picked at number 8
Ruben Bayne Junior leads off our mock draft number one or round one pick eight overall... could absolutely fall to the Saints at number eight overall.
Keonte Scott to be picked at number 73
Let's go to round three, pick 73. He was there, so I took him Keonte Scott.
De'Zhaun Stribling to be picked at number 132
Round four, pick one thirty two... Dejean Stribling? Out of Ole Miss.
Lee Hunter to be picked at number 42
So at round two, pick 42... I was able to go with Texas Tech defensive tackle Lee Hunter.
Emmett Johnson to be picked at number 136
Alright. Let's take a look at round four, pick one thirty six. We're going with running back Emmett Johnson out of Nebraska.
Fernando Mendoza to be picked “top eight” (picks 1–8)
Do you think Mendoza is going to go in the top eight? That's how I feel about it.
David Bailey to be picked “top four” (picks 1–4)
I think it's very likely that Bailey goes top four. Yes.
Jeremiyah Love to be picked “top eight” (picks 1–8)
I think Love has to. Somebody's gonna pull the trigger... you named five players you think go for sure in the top eight
Sonny Styles to be picked “top eight” (picks 1–8)
Who else do you think is Styles? You think he's guaranteed to go in the top eight? I think he is.
Rueben Bain to be picked “top 10” (picks 1–10)
So it may be the Chiefs doing it at nine, but I do think he'll go in the top 10.
Arvell Reese to be picked “top eight” (picks 1–8)
I think Mendoza, Reese, Styles will all go, quote, unquote, locks... you named five players you think go for sure in the top eight
Mason Reiger to be picked at number 215
Round 6 (No. 215 overall): Mason Reiger, EDGE, Wisconsin
Brandon Cisse to be picked at number 48
Round 2 (No. 48 overall): Brandon Cisse, CB, South Carolina
Shad Banks to be picked at number 231
Round 7 (No. 231 overall): Shad Banks Jr., LB, UTSA
Brenen Thompson to be picked at number 112
Round 4 (No. 112 overall): Brenen Thompson, WR, Mississippi State
Darrell Jackson to be picked at number 79
Round 3 (No. 79 overall): Darrell Jackson Jr., IDL, Florida State
Brandon Cisse to be picked at number 48
Round 2 (No. 48 overall): Brandon Cisse, CB, South Carolina
Brandon Cisse to be picked at number 50
he still seems like a likely top-50 pick
Shad Banks to be picked at number 231
Round 7 (No. 231 overall): Shad Banks Jr., LB, UTSA
