Scored under the published methodology, which sets out what counts as right, what a naive guess would have said, and why an earlier call is worth more than a late one.

Why so many dead-wrong answers?
Mock drafts are the single biggest source of zero scores on this site — and it is not because analysts are bad at them. It is because a mock draft asks the same person to do two very different jobs, and only one of them is possible.
Accuracy collapses after round one
- Round 1 · picks 1–321676 picks · off by 10 on average76.3 avg
- Round 2 · 33–64112 picks · off by 25 on average49.5 avg
- Round 3 · 65–10094 picks · off by 33 on average38.7 avg
- Day 3 · 101–175158 picks · off by 41 on average32.7 avg
- Late Day 3 · 176+93 picks · off by 50 on average26.9 avg
A first-round mock is a genuinely good prediction. Across 1676 first-round picks the average score is 76.3, missing by about 10 places. By late day 3 that has fallen to 26.9, missing by 50.
The order of the late rounds is close to unknowable. Thirty-two teams making a hundred and fifty picks are working from private boards, trades nobody has made yet, and medical information that never becomes public. 38% of every zero-scored pick we hold was mocked after round two.
Which is a hard thing to score fairly, and looking at this chart is what made us change how we do it. Until 2 August 2026 credit ran out at one full round, so a pick 32 places out and one 128 places out both scored zero — and 29% of every pick we held sat on that floor. Credit now halves every sixteen picks instead: the standard for a good pick is untouched, and being wrong by a round is no longer the same answer as being wrong by four. The methodology records the change and the numbers behind it.
An analyst who mocks all seven rounds is still attempting the hardest version of the exercise, and the back half will always score lower than the front. That is why the leaderboard ranks on MissedTakes Score, which comes from how well a mock ordered the draft rather than from its individual picks — a seven-round mock is judged on the shape it got right, not on the length of its tail.

These are predictions about where a team would pick, not judgements of the player. A slide says as much about thirty-two front offices as it does about anyone’s evaluation.

Every mock draft picks take
1801–1825 of 4,351
Kaleb Elarms-Orr to be picked “fourth round grade” (picks 101–140)
Number nine is Caleb Elarms Orr out of TCU, have a fourth round grade there.
Jacob Rodriguez to be picked “second round” (picks 33–64)
My linebacker five is Jacob Rodriguez out of Texas Tech, second round grade. ... I value him in the second round.
Keyshaun Elliott to be picked “late five, early six”
Keyshawn Elliott is number 13, the linebacker out of Arizona State. He's a late five, early six.
Jake Galdi to be picked “late two, early three”
Number six is Jake Galdi or Galdi out of Cincinnati. That's a late two, early three.
C.J. Allen to be picked “second round grade” (picks 33–64)
My linebacker four is CJ Allen out of Georgia, second round grade.
Deontae Lawson to be picked “fourth to early fifth round range” (picks 101–181)
I grade him in that that fourth probably that fourth to early fifth round range... Deontay Lawson out of Alabama is linebacker 11. He's a fourth round grade.
Anthony Hill to be picked “late first, early second round grade” (picks 1–64)
My third linebacker is Anthony Hill out of Texas, late first, early second round grade.
Kyle Louis to be picked “third round grade” (picks 65–100)
Number eight is Kyle Lewis out of Pittsburgh. He's a third round grade.
Josiah Trotter to be picked “late two, early three”
Josiah Trotter is number seven out of Missouri, late two, early three.
Arvell Reese to be picked “first round grade” (picks 1–32)
Arval Reese would be my linebacker too. Out of Ohio State, he has a first round grade.
Sonny Styles to be picked “top 10 grade” (picks 1–10)
So he has a first round grade, but he also has a top 10 grade.
Bryce Boettcher to be picked “late five, early six”
Bryce Botcher is number 12 out of Oregon. He's a late five, early six.
Red Murdock to be picked “late six, early seven”
And then Red Murdoch is number 14 out of Buffalo, late six, early seven in terms of where I value him.
Olaivavega Ioane to be picked at number 17
So backup pick, I would take the guard, Oliva Vega, Yoani... So he would be a guard for the for the lions.
Spencer Fano to be picked at number 17
Love your fan o pick. Love it. So that's who I had in my mark draft, so to speak.
Spencer Fano to be picked at number 17
With the seventeenth pick in the twenty twenty six NFL draft, the Detroit Lions select. Spencer Fano at pick 17 out of Utah.
Akheem Mesidor to be picked at number 17
just to be different, I'm gonna go with Hakeem Mazadore because, he's on the board still... (Lions at pick 17 in the twenty twenty six NFL draft)
Makai Lemon to be picked at number 13
With the 13 pick in the twenty twenty six NFL draft, the Los Angeles Rams select... Peter Schrager... he made a pick for the Rams in the first round... he's available at thirteen
Carnell Tate to be picked at number 11
The Dolphins took Carnell Tate two picks before the Rams.
Jordyn Tyson to be picked at number 9
The Chiefs took Jordan Tyson at ninth overall.
Denzel Boston to be picked “to go before the Bills pick (No. 26)”
I think that could be Denzel Boston to go before the Bills pick.
Omar Cooper to be picked “to go before the Bills pick (No. 26)”
I always like to think about one positional player. When you're picking as as late as twenty six, somebody that you think is past you is gonna go earlier... I think that could be Omar Cooper.
Sonny Styles to be picked “top five selection” (picks 1–5)
This is as good a linebacker as we've seen in a long time that I will not blink if he winds up being a top five selection as an off ball linebacker.
Malachi Lawrence to be picked “third round” (picks 65–100)
there's actually an edge rusher that I really, really like that I think we could pick up in the third round... I think we get them in the third.
Ty Simpson to be picked “trade back into the first round” (picks 1–32)
I see him, some teams gonna do the Jackson dart move, trade back into the first round and take him.
