Founded in 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts, the Washington Commanders now play their home games at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, with headquarters in Ashburn, Virginia. The franchise is owned by Josh Harris, with Adam Peters serving as general manager and Dan Quinn as head coach. The Commanders have experienced considerable fluctuation over the years. After a stretch of middling seasons through the 2010s—including a 9–7 playoff appearance in 2015 and a 7–9 playoff berth in 2020—the team broke through in 2024 with a 12–5 record and postseason appearance. That success proved difficult to sustain, as Washington fell to 5–12 in 2025. The current roster features quarterback Jayden Daniels, receiver Terry McLaurin, and notable additions including Stefon Diggs, Laremy Tunsil, and linebacker Leo Chenal.
