The Chicago Bears were founded in 1920 in Decatur, Illinois, making them one of the oldest franchises in professional football. Known also as Da Bears and the Monsters of the Midway, the club plays home games at Soldier Field in Chicago and is headquartered in Lake Forest, Illinois. George McCaskey owns the team, with Ryan Poles serving as general manager and Ben Johnson as head coach. The Bears' recent history shows considerable fluctuation. After an 11–5 playoff season in 2010, results varied widely: a 12–4 campaign in 2018 was followed by middling years and a 3–14 collapse in 2022. The 2025 season brought a turnaround at 11–6 with a playoff berth. The current roster features quarterback Caleb Williams, running back D'Andre Swift, pass rusher Montez Sweat, and receiver Rome Odunze, among others.
